Fashion Hungry visitors to make a 'B' line to the Clothes Show Live 2008

For the fashion aficionados out there, the annual Cloths Show Live is not to be missed. Attracting over 185,000 visitors Clothes Show Live is the 3rd largest consumer event in the UK and the largest fashion and beauty event in the world. The location for this year’s event, as in recent years is The NEC Birmingham where over 350 exhibitors from boutique brands, high street retailers, designer labels and up and coming talent will be showcasing their latest collections.

There is so much to see and do at the show that even the most fashion hungry visitor cannot fail to fill their day with exciting and insightful things. Stunning daily cat walk shows will preview the latest designer and high street collections, some being modelled by gorgeous, and highly trained dancers while the The Hair and Beauty stage will be a great place to get advice and tips from industry experts and to buy a selection of hair and beauty products to put into practice what you have learned.

The visitor trend in previous years has seen the majority being female, particularly those ranging in age from 16-26 yet in recent times there has been a general increase in men becoming more fashion conscious and interested in personal grooming. In an effort to address this trend, Clothes Show Live have introduced more male brands into the show and at the Show in December, a Guys and Dolls Music Stage is planned which will offer men an opportunity to catch a glimpse of the latest menswear collections through an entertaining dance and catwalk show.

After an exhausting day shopping you will have earned a well deserved drink and their will be a number of themed bars located around the Show where you can kick off your shoes, sip a cocktail and admire your valuable purchases. If a cocktail isn’t your thing then you might want to consider visiting the Wellbeing Zone, a place where you can relax and enjoy rejuvenating, tempting treatments and get advice from health and fitness experts.

The Clothes Show Live is on at the Birmingham NEC from 5-10 December 2008 although tickets are not on sale yet.

Travelling to The NEC is easy by road or rail. It is well signposted from the M6 (Junction 4) and M42 (Junction 6) and there is loads of on site parking (chargable at £8 per car per day) and for rail passengers, the Birmingham International Station is connected to the NEC by a short covered walkway
