A Study in High School Bullies

Ah, high school. You know who can wistfully look back on those days and even smile about them? People who graduated quite a few years ago, that’s who. If you’re currently in high school, chances are, all you can think about is how much you hate it and how badly you want to get out. Fair enough – that makes perfect sense. High school is wildly unpleasant when you’re in it, and just because old people can look back on it and remember things through rose-colored glasses doesn’t mean it’s actually a good time. Let’s be honest: it’s a terrible time for 87.65% of the population. As such, here are some honest survival tips.

High school is a time when people start to get an understanding of who they are as people. As such, they tend to take their personalities to extremes, as they attempt to learn who they are and where they should be in the world. It can be very ugly when someone is “growing wings” in this sort of way, as they can overreact to the changes in their lives and end up being nasty people. It’s not intentional; it’s entirely hormonal, according to leading doctors and scientists.

However, because of these hormonal imbalances that lead to cruel and bullying behavior, high school can be an extremely trying time. The good news is that most people “grow into” their hormones, and become normal, functional people whose behavior is in line with the average person’s standards. It is unfortunate, though, that the misfits in high schools often bear the brunt of this sort of behavior. It was once hypothesized by an amateur scientist, L. Simpson, that nerds actually give off a specific scent that attracts bullies. She showed off her findings at a disastrous display in front of her friends, relatives, and the scientific community. Few have dared to do such extensive research since, for fear of the dangers of teenage bullies.

That said, there is a lot of hope. High school isn’t that bad once you realize it’s just four years of a very long life. And that the bullies will grow out of it. How do you get by and have some fun in high school? For one thing, there's fantasy -- with things like High School Musical ringtones. Why not use a song to break up the day and make everyone feel a bit better? [Even the worst bullies love music!] You can get these, as well as Verizon ringtones to help cheer up the day and soothe even the most troubled souls.

Yes, music is usually the answer because it is one thing that everyone can agree will put a smile on people's faces!
