Amrita Rao finally has a boyfriend, putting an end to her single status. If rumours are to be believed, Amrita is dating Goher Mumtaz, the lead singer in the Pakistani band Jal. It all started with Jal's second album Boondh - A Drop of Jal, in which Amrita agreed to be a part. A source revealed, "Goher came to Mumbai to shoot the video Chalte Chalte, with Amrita. During the shoot, the duo became very friendly and gradually grew fond of each other. In fact, the shoot is over long back, but Goher keeps coming to India often.

They two hang out together and are seen cosying up a lot. When Goher is not in India, they two are constantly in touch via SMS and calls.


We got in touch with Goher in Pakistan and he preferred to speak about his album. "Amrita is the face of the album. We are coming to India very soon to promote it. Amrita is a great professional. We bonded well during the shoots. I was quite nervous but she made me comfortable and we became friends. In fact, our friendship shows on screen. The chemistry is visible in the video Chalte Chalte. So wait and watch!" he said.

When quizzed about them being in love he said, "We are good friends. I don't think there is anything wrong in sharing a great friendship. I don't have many friends in India. She is one of my closest ones. Amrita and I are in touch. I come to India every month. We like spending time together. In fact, I have convinced her to come to Pakistan and perform here."

Amrita, however, is not ready to admit to anything as yet. She said, "Yes, I am quite fond of all three members (meaning Goher, Farhan Saeed and Shazi) of the band. It was a great opportunity to work with someone from Pakistan. Even a simple pleasure like sharing an ice cream with someone from across the border is fun. But love is confined only to the video. When I actually fall in love, the whole world will know about it."
