Kenya needs the Peace of God, not Conditional Peace

Thank God, finally we have a cabinet now. His Excellency the president, Mwai Kibaki has named the ministers. At least now we have a direction. But that does not stop me from writing from my heart and feelings. Four months gone now, going to the fifth month and almost half of the year destroyed. We have to wait for two people to agree so that the country can move on. We are set aside on hold, no developments no nothing, just because of disagreements. Since the impatient can not hold it any more we are back again into fighting. When will this stop!? Kenya is a beautiful country, its calling for caring leaders. There is no promising peace and reconciliation for Kenya without God's Peace.

According to the headline, Kenya needs the peace that comes from God. The best gift from God. I do not know of any other peace because the rest is so conditional. The peace of God ensures that people stay like brothers and sisters. This peace is unconditional, wherever it exists there is no discrepancy. Power hungry people do not exist either. The kind of peace that knows no war. This is the kind of peace everyone should look for without impeding.

But the peace we are experiencing is a conditional peace. No one knows the time or hour of broken promises, they can come any time. “There will be no peace unless this and that is done”. “Kenya will not be at peace unless international intercessor comes for our help” And who said so? This means that our trust as Kenyans is on our leaders and if these leaders fight we fight too. This means that without international professionals coming and showing us how to run the country and stop the war, Kenya will not be at peace again. I ask again, Who said so?

Our country does not need international professionals nor does it need conditional peace. If Gods peace reigns, we will enjoy living in Kenya to the fullest. It is time we trusted God for our country.

When our leaders delay in agreements, the common mwananchi suffers the most. If there are no agreements at all, and the leaders are throwing words and insults to each other, the common man down there is manipulated and starts fighting. And because the big man wants to retain a good name for himself, he will be quick to stop them from fighting.

When this happens, and the economy is hit hard, the consumer goods become expensive and the common man is affected again. The big guy up there will not feel it when sugar, maize floor, vegetables prices rise. In fact he can not feel it at all!. But you fellow Kenyan, you are the one to experience the hardships.

Its time for all Kenyans to wake up. You are the boss. The big guys could not be there if you were not there. Do not fight when they fight. Concentrate on loving each other, working harder every day since no one will knock your door and bring food on your table. Say no to conditional peace, say YES to God’s Peace.
