What people need in an MLM:
• A decent product, doesn’t have to be great but should at least be usable.
• Pay plan must be easy to understand, the simpler the better
• People need a system and a mentor to show them how to implement it.
The product really isn’t as important as you may think, in fact most people looking to make money online in an MLM do not go looking for products right? They are looking for a way to make money.
It does help if the product is usable and/or useful though, a person is much more apt to stick around a program if they are actually using the product.
The Pay Plan is very important, weather it’s a big ticket plan asking for 1k or a more modest plan asking for $10 the people looking at the plan must be able to understand how they will be paid. Avoid any plans with complicated pay structure like having to qualify for compensation by achieving “levels”. Powerline programs are notorious for that and most people do not realize it is too late.
Above all else people need a system that they can actually use, the same one that got them to join. Seems simple right? I see time and time again people recruiting Like mad maybe with their own page and auto responder system, or offering to pay a persons way in, maybe even offering to pay multiple months or offering free gifts to get a Person to join them.
What is wrong with that?
Plenty, let’s think about this for a second. If a person joins a program because they were “gifted” in for one or more months how are they going to promote the program? I suppose they could offer to “gift” people in as well (not likely) if it is in their budget but the real question is what will they tell their sign ups when they are asked for help?
Will they tell them “oh just pay everyone’s way in?” I think it goes without saying this is very flawed and doomed to fail. Same holds true when bribing people to join with gifts, a thank you gift for someone opting in to your auto responder is alright, the idea of the gift is to get them to see your program and your system, the gift should never be the system.
What do people need then?
In order for people to succeed in any network marketing business they need an easily duplicated system. A lead capture page hooked into an auto responder loaded with proven messages to help them close sales or get sign ups.
The lead capture page should not be the generic page provided by the actual product company but a separate page of ones own Design. It also helps immensely when a person is shown where and how to advertise their new business including how to write ads and even having some examples they can copy and paste to get started.
Let’s recap what is needed to succeed.
• An easily duplicated and implemented system
• A custom lead capture page
• An auto responder pre loaded with proven messages
• Step by step directions on how and where to advertise
• Be able to show the exact same system to their team
When those criteria are met the duplication will be very easy and a person could make very good money simply by helping others.
