Not too long ago, I watched a series called Carnivale on HBO. One of my favourite characters was that of Sophie, a young woman who read the tarot with the help of her psychic mother. Sure, anything is possible on television, but can people really be psychic? Can people really predict the future or even talk to the deceased? I can't say that I've ever called one of those "Psychic Hotlines", I think those are kind of silly, and less than accurate. But I have always wondered, "What if I am psychic and don't know it?"

I'll admit, I live in a haunted house. I hear doors slam, things crash, lights turn on and off, and the ghosts in my house have a fondness for the radio, which will play full blast in the middle of the night. Is it possible for me to have a connection with the spirit world? I think it is, I just don't know how to unleash any so-called "psychic ability." Obviously, there is something that has led these spirits into my home, and if they're trying to tell me something, I would like to be able to decipher it.

The hauntings began after my trip to Savannah, Georgia. I took a ghost tour and the guide explained how spirits can often times latch on to someone and follow that person home. I think I found a new friend in Savannah, because strange things began happening after I returned home. First it started with the lights, and then moved on to the radio and finally I began to hear objects crashing. I found a helpful link that answered many of my questions about psychic ability.
