Manchester is the new popular city to host events

Manchester is a great place to host your event, it is a thoroughly modern city just perfect for your event.


Following two major events in the last 12 years, the IRA bombing of Manchester in 1996 and the hosting of the Commonwealth Games in 2002, millions of pounds of investment has been spent to see the old, grey Manchester transformed into a modern, vibrant city which has become one the UK's leading conference destinations.


Redevelopment and modernisation of the old and construction of new architecture means that Manchester boasts a wide range of venues suitable for all manner of events and occasions.


Modern, state of the art buildings such as the Beetham Tower (home of the new 4 star Hilton Hotel Manchester), the City of Manchester Stadium, Urbis and the Macdonald Manchester Hotel are just a few of the new venues to have been created in Manchester in recent years.


Older more traditional venues, ones with real history are also available in Manchester. The Museum of Science and Industry located in Castlefield charts the history of Manchester's role in the cotton and textile industry, and offers a unique and historic backdrop for any type of event, while The Lowry Galleries, home to the L.S. Lowry exhibition is located on the stunning waterfront in Salford Quays and can offer you a breathtaking backdrop for your event.


It almost goes without saying that Manchester is probably most famous for its sporting giants. Manchester United Football Club situated in Old Trafford, the City of Manchester Stadium, built to host the 2008 Commonwealth Games and now home to Manchester City Football Club and Lancashire County Cricket Club are just a few worthy of note.


All three clubs offer an excellent range of conference rooms for hire, some of which are very large and perfect for hosting large exhibitions. From a club history point of view, each club offers the opportunity to take part in an organised tour.
