Born Hannah Golofski in 1923, Anne Klein lived in New York her entire life.
In 1939, when she was eighteen years old, she was married. She assumed the surname of her new husband, Ben Klein, and became Anne Klein. A few years after, she launched her profession as a fashion designer, somewhat leaving, but also drawing on her artist's preparation she'd received earlier that decade.
Junior Sophisticates, which specialized in in fashion designs for younger women, was founded by Anne in 1948. She supervised Junior Sophisticates for almost twenty years until she and Chip Rubinstein, her second husband, founded Anne Klein and Co. in 1968.
During the next years, she would savor the pinnacle of her profession. She was inducted into the Fashion hall of fame in 1971, won the Neiman-Marcus fashion leadership award in 1969 and, aside additional fashion luminaries Yves St. Laurent and Christian Dior, participated in a V.I.P. fashion gala at Versailles in 1973 to raise funding for the castle.
Anne Klein was 51 years old in 1974 when she died following a fight with cancer. Donna Karan then took charge to direct the company and stayed there until she decided to leave and create her own company. Anne Klein and Company maintains their good name to this day as a leader in women's design, emphasizing chic and practical styles.

When choosing an Anne Klein watch, note several factors. The look, of course, is most important. How well will it go paired with your outfit? What will be its intended use? Assuming you're happy with the look, evaluate the watch components. If it's intended for frequent use, be sure it's scratch-resistant. Look at the water proofing -- if you don't plan to remove it, be sure it can get wet without sustaining damage. Lastly, evaluate the manufacturers warranty. Fashion watches are frequently delicate, so you want to make sure you can have it fixed or exchanged if it does get damaged.
