Deer Valley may be known for its skiing, but it is also a fun place to visit during the summer. You can enjoy the same rugged mountains that offer such pleasure in the deep powder during the summer months too. Summer activities are great for people of all ages.

In June, Deer Valley guests enjoy lift-served mountain biking. That's right! Let the lift do the hard work getting you up to the peak of the mountain and then you can enjoy the thrill of riding your bike to the bottom. There are 2 chairlifts available offering over 50 miles of downhill fun. Similar services are offered at the Canyons. If you would like to venture away from the Deer Valley resort itself, there are roughly 200 miles of biking trails in and around Park City. There is also a paved biking path that's great for people with children. If you do not have bikes or helmets there are many stores in the area where you can buy them.

For individuals who simply desire to enjoy the countryside, they can take advantage of Deer Valley chairlifts for a gorgeous scenic trip to the mountain peak. Once there you can you can take a relaxing hike to the bottom or catch the chairlift. For those who want a workout, just start at the bottom and reach the top the old-fashioned way! If you are visiting during a music festival; you can enjoy wonderful music, food, and atmosphere in the outside amphitheater.

Besides hiking and biking, the Park City area offers other recreation in the form of fishing, horseback riding, and hay rides. Many nearby outfits offer horse-drawn hay rides around Park City. This is a fun and relaxing family activity for a summer evening. There are also several nice golf courses where you can enjoy pleasant weather while playing golf at 6,000 feet above sea level. One last attraction especially for the skateboarder is the large skate park located in the City Park. This park is Utah's biggest outdoor cement facility and is open all summer long.
