Bramble Rose is the latest Rock CD released by the very talented Tift Merritt who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I'm confident Tift Merritt fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one.
Bramble Rose launches with an outstanding track, Trouble Over Me, that I anticipate will be heard on radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. It really is a very nice track.
Bramble Rose is a pleasantly varied, mix of 11 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly outstanding artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are her own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.
Overall Bramble Rose is an outstanding release. Quite possibly Tift Merritt's best to date. Really spectacular from beginning to end. If you're even mildly into Rock music you'll enjoy this album.
While the entire album is really very good some of my favorites are track 2 - Virginia, No On Can Warn You, track 8 - Supposed To Make Your Happy, and track 11 - When I Cross Over
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 - Trouble Over Me. Great track!
