Kids are a bundle of joy. Stress busters and fun to play with. But when they grow older and uncontrollable, the naïve devils are difficult to deal with especially in the holiday period, when they are all day home and have little to do.

But you can plan their holiday and save yourself the trouble of dealing with open drawers, things sprawled around and fear of losing them when they don't turn up after sunset. In India holiday activities for kids are now organized by individuals with institutional training who organize such activities every holiday season for kids of different age groups.

You can choose from a variety of subjects or let your kid pick up their interest by trying out their hand at the umpteen options available. Like painting, drawing, and craft with paper, cane, clay or other different materials, learning to play a new instrument and lots more.

These kid activities have transformed into professional businesses at institutions where teachers are trained to impart the best in knowledge to little minds. Activities are conducted by professional personnel with profound knowledge of child psychology who know how to develop the skills of the child and find out what the child is inclined towards.

While some have a fixed agenda for the entire day, some play houses allow the kids to do what they feel like, encouraging them to do what they prefer and thus deducing the preferences of the child. Periodic reviews of the child help to understand how well the growth has furthered and what the future holds.

These activities are also a welcome break from the monotony that studies manifest, as they explore the creative side of the child. Evolve a part of the brain that was never been tapped before and bring out the best in the child. Once the child enjoys a particular art for example, dabbling with colours or playing an instrument then he is interested to take the class seriously. Instead of you dragging them to the development classroom, they would love to go on their own.

Hence it is very important to explore the child's talent. At a tender age what is discovered can always be developed for the future betterment of the child. If you are a homemaker then you can also plan your child's day instead of sending him or her to the playschool. It has to be filled with interesting ideas, never heard or seen by them before. It has to involve them mentally and physically, keeping them completely engaged the whole time.

But make sure there is a mix of many activities. Only one type of drawing or sketching can get them distracted and reduce their excitement. You could also plan trips outside the house. Take them to the garden or a museum. For older kids you can take them to historical sites, plan picnics and teach them interesting things every time.

For some parents these activities may seem insignificant, but one has to understand that a child's mind is malleable and it can be moulded in the way you want. If left on its own it can grow positively or negatively. Hence inducing the child towards positive growth will help the child and you in the long run.
