CRYSTAL CLEAR LABELLING

A global manufacturer of self adhesive materials has introduced ClearFlex, a transparent label substrate that works equally well on rigid clear plastic bottles and flexible clear plastic tunes. Before now, it was difficult to meet the requirements of clarity and squeezability, but ClearFlex is based on high clarity polypropylene (PP), which incorporates even greater flexibility that polythene. Label adhesion is also maintained for over 80 squeezes.

ClearFlex is suitable for no-label looks on high clarity polyester, HDPE and PP bottles and tubes. The back of the container can be used for imagery which can be seen through the transparent label and packaging contents.

The material's top coating is ideal for flexo, offset, screen and letterpress printing, whilst its adhesive and flexible film properties mean that creasing or lifting are virtually eliminated.

The material range comprises; ClearFlex, featuring a clear BOPP film and a glassine liner; ClearFlex Crystal, with a clear BOPP film and ultra-transparent polyester release; and WhiteFlex for flexible non-clear containers.
