Fornasetti Plates in etabletop

Piero Fornasetti was a painter and interior designer in milan. Best known for his whimsical approach to design and graphics, Fornasetti decorated thousands of items with motifs ranging from the beauty of nature to trompe l'oeil. His most famous production line was "theme and variations', a series of articles based on an image found in a 19th century french magazine. Fornasetti Plate was of lina cavalieri, looking as enigmatic as the mona lisa. Over 350 variations of the design were produced.

Theme and variations plates measure 10.25" diameter and are produced by hand to order in the atelier in milan. Completely handmade, the plates are still manufactured to the exact specifications passed from piero to his son, barnaba. Limited quantities of the plates will be available. Some plates are also available with a gold background (special order at this time), as noted.

There is an enormous range of decorative furniture, ceramics, glass, and other objects. By placing the cursor over each of the 'Eve' set of plates it will reveal examples of what is available in the Fornasetti range. Each of pieces is entirely hand made and produced in limited editions using exactly the same techniques and designs which are represented in the historical archives of Piero Fornasetti. All of the furniture and most precious porcelain are produced in annually limited editions. Home accessories are progressively numbered and dated. When colour is present the signature of the painter appears as well. There is a vast subject range on offer, because of this, each year certain articles are suspended from production while new re-editions are added. This contributes to the value of the Fornasetti atelier creations. Please purchase on online www.etabletop.com
