Contraband was formed by guitarist Dan Whitfield and bassist Billy Smith. Soon the band had a few songs under their belt and looked for a drummer and a second guitarist, they approached Chris Moden and Ash Talbot who fit in straight away, and now the band was complete and they could start recording their material. Contraband is currently recording and working very hard on their debut album “Hydroside”.

About Contraband
Contraband was originally formed in 2002 by Dan Whitfield and Billy Smith but under the name of The Pleb Ship Cruisers. As The Pleb Ship Cruisers, Billy and Dan mostly wrote punk songs as they both have punk backgrounds. Once they had written a couple of songs they approached Ash Talbot to play drums for them and went on to play at many events as a trio. After two years of writing together, The Pleb Ship Cruisers parted ways, seeking to broaden there musical horizons. After a year or so Billy and Dan started to write again and due to there new musical knowledge and having found other influences have created a sound like no other under the name of Contraband!
Contraband, are an explosive mix of many different genres, a very new sound to the music industry. Some of the genre influences that appear in the music of
Contraband include punk, rock, funk, orchestral and more.
