e-crime, the existing threat

Nowadays during digital times, when all of our lives are on cards, in data, codes and profiles we should be aware of avoiding being victims of e-crime. It is an existing and a real threat against all of us. It is not surprising that the law prosecutes e-thieves seriously with not only fines but prison as well.

Between the hackers there are a lot of malicious people who attack the banks' servers for customers' data to steal money from their accounts or to cause abuse. They also are hacking mobile phones to send messages and make calls on our bills, they try to break our computer in the office for secret business information and we can continue the list.

If it’s not enough… there is a market for these hacking tools and applications so the enthusiastic beginners, even children can try, maybe they don't want to steal or blackmail us but they can seriously affect our computer and make it more vulnerable for other hackers.

The banks, telecommunication companies and the businesses that are making electronic software goods in them, try to make their products safe and do everything to provide our data security.

It's not enough, we can't leave this work only for them. We have to know our rights, we have to know what kind of data can be asked from us, we have to know how to keep our codes safe. If we need help, we shouldn’t be deterred from asking such questions.
