A New Communications Medium Emerges

Viral marketing solidifies brands

Somewhere between email and websites is a new territory, ripe for very effective marketing and NTR (non-traditional revenue)! You might not have heard about this yet because it's new. Coca Cola, The Smithsonian, Hills Science Diet and many others have jumped on it...

We've developed a new communications technology which can expand and strengthen the effect of a brand.

There are many variations in usage but all share one trait: PERSONAL, DAILY, MEANINGFUL CONTACT.

Desktop Delivery

Briefly, Desktop Delivery, a branded communication channel, brings the host the ability to appear on the screen of a user's computer (with fresh material) DAILY and automatically. The screen may be sponsored, contain links, text, audio, and video. It loads in the background. Appears at a user-selected time daily. Is NOT RSS or email. It is measured - the client receives how many views and what the viewer did next, i.e.: click on a link and which link. It collects no personal data (beyond zipcode) from the user, maintaining privacy.

As an opt-in program, the viewer can also pass along the screen, or even the program, to others with similar interests, growing the user base virally!

Websites are often low on the priority list of a busy visitor. Then if they remember to go there, do they notice changes? Desktop Delivery can point and move the viewer to those changes directly. And since we measure their actions (without invading their privacy) you can tailor ever more effective campaigns.

As for email, few people actually take the time to read most of their email (average per day is now 120), or even open them all, or do so in a timely manner. Many ISPs strip pictures from emails. But with Desktop Delivery, the screen appears in the foreground - it can't be ignored! Compared to the statistics of how few emails actually arrive intact and are seen, this is several orders of magnitude more effective!

This daily touch can be in the form of a tip, technique, reminder, info, or entertainment: anything you can imagine PLUS include links to sales and/or more information on specific shows, events or sponsors.

Some details:

Uploads: easy.
User Privacy: assured.
Security: tested extensively and passed.
Media: rich
Connection speed: irrelevant
Viewer action: measured data provided
Retention rates: approach 90%

Desktop Delivery answers two challenges:

1- More personal, lifestyle-oriented communication with the audience, drawing them closer to the source, reinforcing behavior and recall.

2- Delivering a new revenue stream.

This is an exciting new form of communication for any affinity group.
