911, the Iraq and Afghanistan aggressions, etc, etc, death, destruction, blood, waste of life and resources, etc, etc… but the real tragedy is the missed opportunity.
If you remember the days immediately following 911, there was such an outpouring of humanity and good will, of care and concern and willingness to sacrifice and of sympathy towards America and it all got wasted. Today, America is hated throughout the world and regarded as a rogue nation and the government has chosen to focus on fear rather than opportunity.
Just think about how a humanitarian, benevolent government could have changed that outcome!
Instead of color coded terror alert statuses and the Patriot Act and shredding of Constitutionally guaranteed inalienable rights and war mongering a real opportunity existed to do something really great and unique.
What if all those billions and other resources had been spent to set up town hall type community organizations which would train one and all on how to prepare for any emergency - natural or man made and which would establish citizen responsibilities and string communication lines amongst the people so that we could all be facilitated in looking out for one another? Instead of scaring the people, what about waking people up, giving them a chance to do something effective and to take more responsibility? A full force Volunteer Ministers campaign could change this country and the world.
Do you see what I am getting at?
Perhaps the greatest indictment of this current regime and all its puppets is that instead of spreading love and pro survival solutions in the wake of 911 it spread fear, beaurocracy and war.
Now, in that context I say support Ron Paul for a better, saner America!Because…it may be our last second chance…Let’s not blow it this time!
