Trust me when I say that you do not want to eat macaroni & cheese and Raman noodles every night. This is horrible for your body. Anyway, contrary to popular belief, cooking doesn't have to be complicated. All you need are the right recipes and/or an imaginative heart.
Recipe books exist that were put together especially for college students who have no time and no cooking skills. Think about purchasing Starving Student's Cookbook, Cooking Outside the Pizza Box, The Healthy College Cookbook, or some other college recipe book. You will certainly be glad you did.
Some people just can't stand following a recipe. Don't fret! When it's dinner time simply find a few items that go together and throw them into a pot or pan. Chicken, rice and carrots taste good. Also try ranch style beans, corn, hominy, garbonzo beans, (leave the juices for a stew) ground beef, tomatoes, and diced green chili. Add a bit of salt & pepper and sprinkle some cheese on top. Experiment all you want.
Here are other easy meals: spaghetti, fettuccini Alfredo, chicken Caesar salad, Stone soup (throw whatever you want in it), hotdogs, macaroni tuna salad, three bean salad, and anything in a crockpot.
An additional piece of advice: never EVER skip breakfast! Cereal, fruit, bagels, and oatmeal make quick and easy breakfasts. Or try pancakes, muffins and biscuits. If you can't make them from scratch, buy a mix! Skipping breakfast is hard on your metabolism. Avoid it as much as possible. If you are on the run take a granola bar or banana, but get something into your stomach.
