Arena Football - Philadelphia at Tampa Bay

Philadelphia and Tampa Bay are two of the three teams vying for the final three spots available in the National Conference playoff picture. Philly is off a heartbreaking loss to Dallas by three points at home and has to regroup quickly to face the Storm who are 5-1 straight up and against the spread in last six tilts. With the Soul playing the uncomfortable role of 3-point road favorites, the teams will meet at 7:30 PM ET in one of six AFL games slated for Saturday.

Tampa Bay started the year slowly because of a meager offense, that is still ranked 19th in points scored at 47.4 per game. The Storm has gathered momentum offensively in last five weeks, scoring 52.8 PPG. Tampa Bay is 8-1 ATS in home games in the second half of the season over the last three Football seasons.

Philadelphia despite a hard loss has their leader back, keeping them competitive each time they take the field. QB Tony Graziani is the heart and soul of the Soul with 6-3 record (5-4 ATS), having recorded 44 touchdowns while tossing just six interceptions on the season. Philly has not bounced back off a home loss with an insubstantial 1-9 ATS record.

These teams have not met in Tampa in three years and the Soul is 3-12 ATS in games where the line is +3 to -3 over the last three seasons. Philly is 4-3 and 3-3-1 ATS on the road this season and victory would be a huge boost with last two games at home. Tampa Bay’s schedule sets up nicely with a victory to make the Football playoffs and they are 9-0 ATS in home games after gaining eight or more yards a play in their previous game. Key Totals Trend Philadelphia is 12-3 OVER off an upset loss as a favorite.
