Delaware has become a favorite state to incorporate particularly financial businesses on the East Coast. The court system and the tax system are considered business friendly. The state is able to readily get petroleum imports and other raw materials for its chemical industries. There is a significant amount of food production and processing in the state, including the famous Perdue Chicken Corporation. Finally, Delaware, as one of the original thirteen colonies has also its share of historic places that have become tourist attractions. In Wilmington itself, there is the ship, the Kalmar Nyckel, which is the recreation of a Dutch ship that was part of the initial colonization of Delaware. This ship sails across Delaware Bay to Cape May New Jersey, and sails to other ports on the east coast. The Amstel House is located in New Castle, which is 10 miles south of Wilmington, and has existed since the 1730s. George Washington and other colonial and revolutionary war figures have stayed at this house. There are also located three historical museums in New Castle.
In the seaside town of Milford, Delaware is located Adam?s Wharf, a center of fishing in Delaware Bay, and a nearby Marina which is the center of deep Atlantic sea fishing. Further south at Dewey Beach, Delaware is a community with sandbars, beaches natural dunes and wildlife.
