Noelle North, of the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles, is the coordinator of the Los Angeles Drug-Free Marshals. Frequently seen around town sporting her "ten-gallon" Marshals hat, Noelle personally swears kids in with the Drug-Free Marshals oath. "It's really important to me that kids make the most of their lives," said Ms. North. " L. Ron Hubbard once wrote, 'Save the child and you save the nation.' By providing youngsters with factual information about drugs, I know I'm making an important difference in their lives."
The "Drug-Free Marshals" program was created in 1993 to educate children on the dangers of drugs and challenge them to remain drug-free. When they take the oath to be Drug-Free Marshals, youngsters pledge to remain drug-free and encourage their family and friends to do so too.
Over the past 14 years, more than 3 million have taken the pledge to live drug-free lives in cities and towns all over the world.
