Promoting your website, offline

Business world has changed. Everybody is talking about it, so why not to use the chance. By the way, don't hesitate to use every chance you've got! Basically, people often ask how shall they bring visitors to their websites. And after turning to SEO, which is very important, you should also bare in mind another segment of everyday life, which is called exactly the same: everyday life (also known as time that people spend away from the computer).

Nowadays, the term new media is used primarily to talk about emerging digital, electronic communications forms, particularly the internet and the WWW (World Wide Web), and is often defined as using digital media and computer technology to create innovative and interactive instructional and presentation materials for delivery via CD, DVD and the Internet. Ok, but let's look at the things from the other side too, since a significant part of our life is going on away from the computer, isn't it?

The most important thing is to know your visitors. If you want to run & promote a website in order to make it successful, you should know what your visitors don't like, what they do like, what they would like, and most important, who they are. If you succeed to understand your visitors, you're on the right way, if not, try harder.

Ok, now you have a website, you understand your visitors, you did some SEO, and you are participating in various PPC or link exchange programs. It is defiantly a good way, but let's get back to everyday life.

One thing you should know is the importance of people REMEMBERING your website. The part about adding quality content is another thing, so I won't be writing about it in this article. But I will try to make you aware about the importance of making people remember your website.

Try to think, and focus on your average visitor. You know why does he come to your website? Good, now it's time to use it. Where do your visitors (and potential visitors) gather? What binds them? There is your chance, act! Flyers and brochures can be quite an interesting and cheap thing to produce, especially if you make sure that they get to your target group. For example, if you have a website which is all about theaters, cinemas and their shows and programs, logical place to put your flyers are billet offices, and theaters themselves. We can also talk about direct marketing here. Direct marketing gives you a chance to get in touch with your target group easily. Think about placing your posters, flyers, stickers wherever you can. There are two approaches, placing them in such manner so they are oriented towards general public, or placing them towards your target groups. Inform people about your website wherever you can, the more, the better. Think about making promo materials, such as pens, lighters, mouse pads, etc.

Organizing real events for your target groups are also powerful, though a bit more expensive and time taking things to do. It also requires well established up and running website. On the other hand, it gives few very significant things to you: it makes you real to your visitors, people tend to meet afterwards, and most important, people tend to keep talking about the event, which makes them REMEMBER you. Not to mention the influence on your overall brand image.

So, now it's time to give your imagination few spare moments. Think, analyze, and use the chances, use everything people use everyday, pens, trains, cars, billboards, posters, flyers, and start thinking about WOO. Website offline optimization, optimization for everyday life.
