For this purpose in addition to the down payment and the monthly payments, the homeowners invest a lot of time and labor into building their Habitat home. The Habitat home that is constructed is sold to the partner family in lieu of no profit and financed using an affordable loan. The monthly payments made by the homeowners are utilized in building still more Habitat homes.
