CNI Research, an organisation focusing on small and mid-cap companies listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), has now forayed into offering investment and financial advisory services by entering into an agreement with Gateway Strategic Advisors.

"With the help of this pact, we are looking to offer valuable financial corporate advisory services to SMEs, help them raise foreign funds as well as acquire major stake in global firms through research on mergers and acquisitions and private equity investment," said Kishore P Ostwal, CMD of CNI Research in Mumbai.

Mr Ostwal has further revealed that CNI Research will serve as an interface between Gateway Strategic Advisors and its small and mid-cap client firms, thereby helping the latter as well as potential investors to leverage on the strength of collective experience of senior professionals in this business and make investment decisions accordingly.

"Given that the growth of most SMEs is constricted by their limited access to investment bankers, this strategic alliance will help both small firms as well as retail investors to get corporate advisory services," said Avinash Jajoo, a retail investor and director of Tax Consultants, a small-sized tax and investment advisory firm in Mumbai.

CNI Research has also started engaging in talks with global investment bankers to create a one-stop solution hub to provide core research to investors and SMEs about the capital market through its alliance partners.
