Getting a job now is harder than ever do to the poor economical conditions in the country. Don’t give up! There are jobs available for you. Here are a few sure fire tips that will help you reach that goal ahead of the pack. Certain jobs will not require all this preparation so

Job Search - Tips
This might be the most important phase of the employment process. Without a tentative employer there is no need to worry about the interview or resume.
Where to Look:

1. Friends, family, previous employers and acquaintances.

2. Unemployment Office and Library

3. Newspapers both local and near by large cities.

4. Placement agencies - jobs can be temporary, long term or permanent.

5. Some larger companies have an employment site to job search.

6. Internet sites - networking, blogs, twitter, my face, social book marketing, etc and job surfing search web sites.
Relocation might be necessary if you find the job on line.

Resume-Tips
Costly resumes do not insure that it is properly formatted unless you follow the tips below.


1. Be decisive and state the type of job you want, where you want to work, and your goals doing it.

2. Simply emphasis your strongest point and one or two prominent skills, talents or abilities. List your education, training, and any relevant awards or accomplishments.

3. Cover letter and resume to be e-mail friendly, do not attach but paste into the body of the e-mail and practice so it appears professional. Take 2 copies to interview.

4. Resume should be written in the following manner, 1" left margin, 3" right margin, text flush left with Courier font, 12 pt., double space between sections, use asterisks not bullets and use caps not bold.

Prepare for the interview-Tips
Tips to make the actual interview go smoother:

1. Do some research into the companys services and sales marketing on line.

2. Review the job description and general information on line so you can talk and answer intelligently.

3. Finding about the unwritten duties and other job responsibilities will help you in discussions with the Employer interview.


4. Rework your resume to emphasis experiences that best fit the requirements of this job.

5. Be more decisive when answering questions about your resume and qualifications by preparing your own list of past job successes.

6. Interviews make or break most so arrive early and stay without worrying about another appointment until all the questions are answered.

7. Remember to get the interviewers name and pronunciation when you arrive early that day.

8. Turn your cell phone off when you arrive at the office.

Interview-Tips
Dress simply and act politely to present a positive image to the interviewer.

1. Your experiences, work ethics and track record will be discussed in great detail so be prepared.

2. Be polite and cordial to everyone in the company.

3. Present yourself as a problem solver or people person that adds value to the company.

4. Take a calculated chance during the interview when asked in a relax and easy manner.

5. Thank them for the opportunity to discuss the job position.

6. A thank you follow up call or e-mail after the interview is a positive.
