Local SEO and What Ive Learned About Building My Webiste

I wanted to share a bit of a testimony with you on how my company was able to survive in these hard economic times by marketing my local business on the internet.









It started with wondering how in the world was I going to pay for my Yellow Pages advertisements and what it was going to take to merge out of that ole print ad I'd had in there for several years and into merging into making a transition into the internet successfully.











In other words, I had to learn about local seo.











So I started to study about building a basic website and also studying the basics of search engine optimization strategies.











The fact that I was able to build a website within a matter of 5 hours from this web 2.0 property site call Weebly, I figured my next immediate gaol was to take into effect on how to get this website tos look good in the eyes of Google.











Then it all started, I was hooked on learning about how to get my website on the first page of Google for my local business. So what I did after reading in various forums and such was I took the most common denominators between a lot of sources, and I mean a lot of sources. The fact that on page seo combined with off page seo never crossed my mind up till this point. I was stunned when I learned that the "on page seo" stuff was pretty basic when you followed the four basic laws of imortance.











The four laws of 'on page SEO' that is working very very well for me are:











1. Make sure that the keyword you are going to be promoting is in your actual domain name.

2. Make sure that you have your keyword in your main title headline.

3. Make sure that your website description has your keyword in it.

4. Make sure that your targeted keywords are "seeded" just a bit throughout your home page content.











After following those tips I was able to then focus my main efforts into "off page SEO" and I've got to tell you that I have been in positions #1 through #3 for over 2 years now on all of my targeted keywords in my local seo business.
