The learning adventures starts in the first year of the twins, along with the other members of the family. Massive adjustment is a must in this stage, and sometimes you feel like the burden is to much, but you're still not giving up.

As time pass, the situation will adjust it self together with the parents and the members of the family. And by the time they turn one-year olds, you are more relieved; but don't ever let your guard down. Always bear in mind, one-year olds are drawing near the toddler stage, and they are rapidly becoming very hyper and curious with their atmosphere. So you need to control the every aspects of the situation.

Your twins at this stage are now becoming knowledgeable of their surroundings, and they would be puzzled by just about everything they can distinguish inside the house. Make sure that you do all the appropriate measures to make your house a baby-proof one just to avoid any undesirable event that could get them hurt.

Leaving your twins unattended is never an option. Never let your guard down especially when they are awake. Because they are always together, the twins as early as one-year olds are now learning to fight even in small ways. They could score each other's faces, among other things. Be sure to keep an eye on them everytime.

In order to lure their attentions, give them toys that they can benefit from and can play with and share with each other. Make sure the toys are made from delicate materials to refrain one from getting bruised when hit by the other. You can also read to them books that quikly catches their attention. Or, you can give them informative toys and play with them. In this manner, you get to spend precious time with them, at the same time, you get to exercise thier mental ability from thier first A-B-C's and numbers.

With regards to nurturing, changing diapers, and washing them, you need the asistance of your husband or older members of the family, as one-year olds are very astir; and you can't possibly do it on your own. Becoming new parents is troublesome and becoming parents to twins can be awfully nerve-racking. The stress only aggravate when there is no outside family base and aid once you bring the babies home. You feel as if you are on different planet with these two tiny human beings to caution for. When family members live far from your home, their assistance and advise through the first weeks of life is not available. Granted they can give assurance and advice through the phone lines but it truly makes a relief if they can be physically accesible. So in this aspect, you and your husband are on your own.

When cruising with your twins, a twin stroller and car seat are highly recomended! These strollers and car seats are fashioned to hold and keep your twins safe when driving. These cost a bit, but if there's one thing you need to endow when having twins, it should be a stroller or car seat. When you think of their protection and your convenience, it's worth it.

Finally, having one-year old twins is a dificult and stressful adventure you and your husband are embarking. But when you think of the great happiness you feel when they are around, the joy and shrieks surrounding your home, you will never trade or exchange your twins for anything else in this lifetime.
