By Paying Attention to your Credit Your Score Will Fly

Having a credit card now a days is a perk for all teens. They think it’s the greatest thing since peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Well many and more than half do not realize that having such a perk can be a downfall if you do not pay them off as the charges occur.

Many leave the payments grow until they scratch their head and wonder how it all can be so high. It is easy to charge and harder to pay off those credit cards monthly, let’s face it its nice to have all those goodies we charge.

By limiting yourself to two credit cards if you are single is a step in the right direction. One of the cards may be a gas card. By having two cards you will not rack up charges that you cannot afford. Anymore than two you are most likely to have too many minimum payments to pay without really paying off the totals.

Be smart on your purchases. It may be smart to charge your item you want if you want to save for the item. By this, if you are paid two times a month and you charge it at the first of the month then you have two paychecks that you can apply a portion to your credit card. If on the other hand you are paid every week, you may want to just save for the item.

You have thirty days from the charge to pay off that new item. Paying it early or on time is the best idea if you want to aid in your credit score. Items that help your credit score improve are early payments, higher than minimums payment and never being late. If you practice these simple rules your credit score is likely to fly!
