Let's conduct an evaluation of a specific Network Marketing company so you can learn how to apply the six key elements of a viable, online business. To review, the six key elements of a stable Network Marketing company are as follows:

1. Your selected company should have at least five successful years of operation.

2. Does your company have adequate cash flow?

3. Are the products unique, easily accessible, sensibly priced, and relevant to today's market?

4. Review the payment plan.

5. Does it offer appropriate technology for it's members?

6. Is your sponsor prepared to help you and work with you to achieve your goals?

Melaleuca, as we know it now, was incorporated in Idaho in 1985 by Frank L Vandersloot. Melaleuca did have a previous "start up" in 1984, but that one failed. Melaleuca has been an reputable company for 25 years. Melaleuca passes the first test.

Are sufficient funds available? When Melaleuca opened its' doors in 1985 it boasted a grand profit of about $333,000. In 1986 Melaleuca reported earnings of 1.2 million. In 1987 they earned 2.6 million. As you can see, there are major financial increases every single year. In 1989 they reported a 17 million dollar profit.

Melaleuca really began thriving in the '90s when Inc. Magazine listed Melaleuca as one of the nation's fastest growing private firms. Melaleuca remained on Inc. Magazine's list for four years. In 1991 Melaleuca boasted over 100,000 independent sales people (network marketers) and over 900 people employed at their plant in Idaho Falls. By late 1999 Melaleuca was flourishing in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and Taiwan.

Melaleuca has definately passed our second test.

Are the products unique? Melaleuca's primary mission is to provide goods and services that are good for the environment and the person. Their signature product, Melaleuca Oil, is developed from an Australian plant that purports to have healing benefits. Long ago Aborigines used the plant to treat insect bites and heal wounds. The source of this oil must be harvested from these Tea Trees located in Australia. Considering these facts, I conclude that their products are indeed original.

All products can be auto-shipped to your home. Yes, they are easily accessible.

Since the products are distinctive, the price is a bit higher than comparable products found in the pharmacy or the grocery store; but, the value is very high.

Most importantly, are they relevant in today's market place? Melaleuca carries a large variety of products, ranging from bath soap, shampoo, creams, vitamins, and household cleaning products (please be aware that this is only a small portion of their product list). As the company grew and expanded (from the '80s till now), they also added new products to their portfolio. They added a new skin care line and a phone service that became quite successful. Melaleuca has been consistent in bettering their Company by periodically adding new and relevant products and services for their affiliates.

Their payment plan is a good one. The more affiliates you bring into your business, the more money you make. It does not include a "one up" or a "two up", but it's still a good plan.

Melaleuca affiliates can access an auto-responder via a third party company and they do provide a website to every member. Additionally, they have an entire staff of technical support associates who are ready to help with any problem via help ticket or telephone. Their training system is above par. They have phone conferences, webinars, and live conferences.

as a final point, is your up-line eager to work with you and enthusiastic about helping you achieve your desires and dreams? This is very important, but only you can answer this question. As you can see, this company has passed the overall "stability" test signifying that it is an excellent MLM opportunity; however, if you are inexperienced in this industry and are in need of guidance, make sure you're joining a helpful and considerate team. You can join the best Network Marketing company in the world, but if you don't have the guidance you need, you will struggle.

Melaleuca takes a "Pass" and no, its 's not a scam.
