We all love our children and want nothing but the very best for them. Getting sick is part of life and is actually essential for the development of antibodies in young children. As is the case with chicken pox, once you have it as a child, it is extremely rare to contract again in later life. Our bodies need the experience of sickness to build immunity to it. Though, colds and flu's are an uncomfortable thing to go through for a child and as they get older preventing them becomes more important then wishing for them. Here are some advice in keeping you child healthy and for best newborn baby care.

Sleep: An adequate amount of sleep is vital for normal growth. While babies sleep their bodies are repairing and developing important functions for life. A good 5 to 6 hours of rest a night should suffice.

Water: Drink lots of fresh mineral of distilled water each day to keep them hydrated. Children tend to lose water much faster than adults.

Vitamin Supplements: There are advantages and disadvantages to adding more minerals and vitamins. You don't want to overload your babies systems, check with a doctor for exact doses. Each type has a specific purpose. If you want to strengthen the immune system, take vitamin C. If you think your child needs to be smarter, take omega 3 fish oils.

Nails and Hands: I'm sure all mothers do this more then needed, but keeping nails at a neat lengths prevents bacteria entering your child. Babies seem to have their hands in their mouths all the time. Also invest in some hand sanitizer this will go a long way to keeping your child cold free.
