Firstly, buy a soft foam mat to protect your child's extremities from harm. Keep each work out short, fifteen minutes is a good starting point, remember they are young.

A good basic exercise is to lay your baby flat looking up. Hold her arms wide out to the sides and while holding onto her hands bring the arms back into the chest. Do this several time. This is good for the chest and arms.

Another exercise for the legs is to have your child sitting up with her back against a soft chair. Grab a hold of her legs and rotate them as if they were pedalling a bicycle. This is particularly fun for babies.
