Sound good? If so, you may want to start a Red Hat Society chapter. Talk to some of your friends and see if they are interested. There may already be a chapter in your area but if not you can follow a few easy steps and get a new chapter started.
When you are starting a chapter of the Red Hat Society you will establish a username/password and list yourself as the chapter Queen. A Queen is an automatic Purple Perk member after registering their chapter and paying the annual fee.
You will list your chapter as open to new members. In this way you will be able to have members with different backgrounds and interests as well as people you already know.
The Red Hat Society website comes in handy because you can use it to meet and get to know all kinds of Red Hatters around the world. You will be able to find out what activities other chapters are doing and get ideas for your group.
Invite your friends and plan a first meeting. You will want to find the perfect outfit to wear. This will include a fantastic red hat and a wonderful purple outfit if you are 50 or over, or a gorgeous pink hat and beautiful lavender outfit if you are under 50.
