Nokia 6070: A tale of balanced features

In the second month of 2006, Nokia came up with Nokia 6070. To place it somewhere on the utility chart is not easy which could be explained on the basis of what it features. By no standards, Nokia 6070 is a high-end phone and to tag it as an entry level handset will not be fair by virtue of its technical specifications. At best, it can find a place somewhere in the middle striking a balance in between technical features and modest looks.

Nokia 6070 has this humble demeanour which should go well with consumers who would prefer not to confuse themselves in a glut of features, rather have those in their handsets which they are likely to use on a regular basis. On this consideration, Nokia 6070 may get noticed readily and more significantly by a larger consumer base.

Extremely light weighed at 88g and displaying a uniform shape, Nokia 6070 has been incorporated with GSM Triband technology which should enable consumers to stay connected at most of the places across the globe. This brings us to the set of features which keeps Nokia 6070 from being called an entry level mobile phone. We are talking about data transfer/connectivity tools which nokia 6070 comes integrated with. This front features sufficient options in GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, USB, infrared port and WAP 2.0/xHTML browser to make data/information sharing in between PC and handset easy for consumers.

There is nothing much about the VGA camera in Nokia 6070 but for the fact that it is capable of capturing and playing back videos. Total internal memory of 16 MB may leave consumers wanting for more which further looses ground as memory upgrade facility is not available. But for these kind of handsets, there was always going to be a flipside.

Downloadable user interface themes, games & ringtones, Java applications, PoC and FM stereo radio do not leave any stone unturned in making Nokia 6070 far from a basic handset which is set to woo its own set of consumers.
