Conversational hypnosis is a skill in which a trance is induced to a subject with the use of language and persuasion. The goal is to accomplish an intimate relationship wherein the hypnotist can motivate the subject to do or think of certain things. Some common psychological uses of conversational hypnosis are to ease emotional or physical pain, overcome a traumatic event, analyze past experiences, quit a bad habit or execute a task.
