Bush Dawdles As Christians Die

By Dr. David Chananie

Moslem lackeys of the Sudanese government have killed or
caused the deaths of more than 70,000 Black Christians by
UN estimates. As they did so, President Bush did nothing
substantial to intervene.

He claims to be a Christian, and claims to pray to God for
guidance. I wonder what prayers he made and what answers
he received about these murders.

While President Bush pledged billions of dollars to prevent
deaths from AIDS in Africa in the future, he spent pitiful
amounts, $211 million, to prevent deaths from bullets in
Africa now.

President Bush doesn't have Bill Clinton's excuse about
doing nothing in Rwanda - that he didn't know. Secretary
of State Powell, in Congressional testimony on Sept. 9,
2004, publicly stated the Moslem murderers are committing
genocide.

He noted the US brought the matter to the United Nations,
and brokered a supposed cease fire. The United Nation's
Kofi Annan wrings his hands and blathers. Meanwhile, the
killing continues.

According to Powell's testimony, the historical roots of
the killing are conflict between Arab nomadic herders and
African farmers over land and water.

The nomadic herders are Moslems and the farmers are
Christians.

In 2003, two groups, the Sudan Liberation Movement and the
Justice and Equality Movement, declared open rebellion
against the Sudanese government. The Sudanese overnment
responded by supporting Moslem militias and murderers
called the Jingaweit. The Jingaweit have been carrying out
the killings.

By using the Jingaweit as their agents, the Sudanese feign
their innocence. They conceal behind that old tactic of
diplomacy, plausible deniability.

The Black Christians responded to their slaughter by
fleeing. Consequently, an estimated 1.2 million refugees
assembled in Darfur, Sudan, near the border with Chad.
Many are expected to die soon.

The African Union, a cooperative of 53 nations, has
supplied 305 troops to provide protection, 155 from Rwanda,
and a 150 from Nigeria. The United States has been
plumping for a buildup of troops, someone else's, to
monitor the cease fire.

The African Union just pledged another 3,000 troops,
as soon as funding and transport can be arranged.
This week, the European Union pledged $100 million dollars
of funding for this, and the US donated the services of
three C-130 transport aircraft. To date, no new troops
have arrived in Darfur.

As Edmund Burke once noted, "All that is necessary for the
triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Given the lackadaisical pace President Bush has taken with
this problem, I don't see how American evangelicals can
regard Bush as God's anointed. He dawdles as Christian
Black sheep perish.

He predicted an invasion of Iraq could devolve into a
guerrilla war. He predicted the deaths of female soldiers
and orphaning their children.

This is an intellectual product to use in the fight against
terrorism mandated under the provisions of the Homeland
