I experienced the technology affecting our very own local bus tickets. I work in a software company which is like 25 km from my house. It is but obvious that to be working in a software company I know the importance of development. If at all sometimes its raining I go by BUS. The conductor in the bus gives me a ticket and I reach the company, Over and out.
Today the most interesting thing happened to me. No?.no ,nothing about beautiful girls or any sort of thing. First let me tell you about the current type of ticket we have. It's a ticket of poor paper quality which could tear off any moment. The conductor in our buses are always having a CRUEL, DISTURBED , etc kind of a look on their faces. Anytime you see them in the bus they always look like a TROUBLED OLD MAN. Do u know why? I will tell you why they feel like this. They have an open purse with no flap to cover it kind of a thing hanging on their shoulder. Its made of aluminum and it has a variety of colored tickets on it. There are bundles of tickets on that purse. And this conductor is no obeying camel, he has a lethal weapon with him. Its not a gun off or knife course. This weapon he uses to mark or punch the numbered destination for the traveler on the ticket. I don't know what these conductors call it but I will call it as the ?TICKER?. Ok , for every person the process is the same, take out the ticket punch It with the ticker and give it to the person. But do you think that to manage a bus of 100 people when the bus capacity is of 60 is EASY. No its not EASY. Because of all this long process of giving a ticket many people travel without tickets or even fool the conductor.
DON'T WORRY ,NO PERSON CAN FOOL THE CONDUCTOR NOW . Presenting the new ticket giving system. I will name it the ?The TICKUTER(Ticket Computer)?. OK ..when I was standing in the queue for the bus today , the conductor came towards me as usual for giving the ticket. But today something was wrong with him. He was looking very happy. The remaining hair on his bald head were also neatly combed. He had worn ironed khakis. The sign of satisfaction was coming out from his face. I wondered first that he must have got married. Oh?I was wrong. It was not the marriage or any promotion he got but it was the TICKUTER. A small palm fitting machine in his hand with a keypad. And a paper-roll on the front of it. He asked me the destination, entered it into the machine and my new and first modern type of ticket just printed inside the TICKUTOR and rolled out of it. Very neatly he gave me this new TICKET. No TICKER ,NO Bundles of tickets, No Purse, And no hurry. There he was the, conductor showing his pride while working with his TICKUTER giving all the people their tickets. Yes ..yes ,development is happening every where. Don't forget about the customer satisfaction, that's me who was satisfied with the new system. And questions about the paper quality? Oh the paper quality is too good. So, see how the right type of technical development can affect our day to day lives in a very positive way.
