But why should you spend your hard earned money on a quality bed? Well you spend around a third of your life in bed and sleep is vital to your well being.

Why is sleep important?

Believe it or not, as far as sleep goes, the body acts somewhat like a bank. If you don't have enough energy to carry on during certain of life's activities, the body will give you energy, but you will suffer for it. You will have to make up this energy debt in extra sleep, so a cheap memory foam bed may be the answer. Most people need from seven to nine hours of sleep, but this factor can vary considerably in individuals with some individuals needing considerably less and some needing substantially more.

Also, the factors of exercise, food and a feeling of security and psychologically well-being can heavily influence how much sleep a person needs. A person who follows some of the sleep self-examination techniques recommended corrective methods developed to bring the body into more restful sleep will truly profit from their efforts. And, if a person cheap memory foam bed to truly improve their nights rest. This cheap memory foam bed comes in customized sizes, single, small double, double, Kingsize and super Kingsize which helps enhance sleeping experience of the very healthy as well as those whose experience of varying types of physical pain.

How does the brain function to control sleep?

Our sleep is controlled by two brain processes- one that controls the length and depth of wakefulness and sleep and the other which controls its periodicity when to sleep and when to wake. Our brain has an important component called the SCN (superchiasmatic nucleus), which is highly responsive to night. The SCN controls certain key bodily functions at night, which allows for specifically the lowering of blood pressure, the changing of kidney functions and the secretion of hormones at

appropriate nighttime levels. These functions are somewhat automatic, but can be interfered with by human processes.

Can sleep affect my physical health?

Lack of sleep can negatively impact the immune system, opening the door to innumerable assaults on the body. The more rested and alert you are, the more you are able to combat bacteriological assaults, toxic substances and injuries that occur in daily life. Have you ever found yourself considerably fatigued and making more frequent treks to the refrigerator or perhaps a more dedicated effort to gorge out at the nearest junk food restaurant? There may be a sleep-related reason for this. A more
interesting and relatively new claim is that sleeping sufficient hours can actually impact on weight control issues. New studies appear to indicate that sleep deprivation raises the levels of ghrelin, a hunger inducing hormone, while suppressing leptin, a hormone that helps us feel fuller and more satisfied digestively, without that awful craving.

Another study indicated a slightly different twist to the relationship between obesity and sleep deprivation. This study, conducted at the University of Chicago, noted that "short sleepers," persons who sleep less than six hours a night, have less of a tendency to be able to process the glucose in their blood using insulin. Since, unprocessed glucose turns into fat cells when not processed with insulin, the hypothesis is that these people will tend towards obesity. I am sure a potential for gaining weight through sleep deprivation was not the first thing in the mind of most of our readers. Yet, there is a distinct possibility that weight control is related to sleep control issues.

Lack of Sleep drains you of your natural energy and alertness and makes you subject to mood distortions so get a cheap memory foam bed and start having sweet dreams again.
