Are you an expiring author? Passionately writing every day (because after all writers write) but struggling to make a living? Article writing may be a viable solution to your problem--at least until you hit it big with your next novel.

Here's how you get started:

1. Find your niche. That sounds alot easire than it really is. Fortunately, there are tools you can use to get started. Try Word Tracker or Overture to find markets with heavy traffiic.

2. Find an affiliate product to market to your target audience. Sites like Clickbank, Commission Junction, Shareasale, and Linkshare have multiple affiliate products to choose from. Search those sites until you have a few products you can market.

3. Start a blog on your niche topic. Many blogs are free, such as Blogger.com and Wordpress.com.

4. Write valuable content. Here's where you get to shine. You're doing what you love to do, writing.

5. Write articles on your niche topic. Post articles in multiple article directories and point traffic to your blog, where your product is for sale.

Post to your blog daily if possible and write articles at least weekly. You must keep your content fresh and drive as much traffic as you can to your blog. If you find that the affiliate prodicts are not selling, switch products. Test this for two or three weeks before you switch products.
