Are You Yo-Yo Dieting?

The prevalence of obesity and type 2 diabetes is multiplying at epidemic rates which have produced an entire industry of fancifal diets. Whether the diet is high fat or low fat, high carb or low carb these diets commonly exclude one specific food group and/or severely decrease one's caloric intake. Although the dieter loses weight in the beginning, sometimes very generous amounts of weight, they rapidly get tired of having their food choices curbed, consequently go off of their diet, usually within 2 months of beginning the diet, and as a result gain back everything and frequently more than what they lost in the first place. The next fad diet comes along and the consumer starts all over again and the cycle repeats itself. Over a decade or two there may be a series of these diet downs ups and downs again that, if charted, look like the ups and downs of a child's yo-yo; hence the phrase "yo-yo dieting". Unfortunately, when weight is decreased, both fat and muscle mass are decreased. When the weight is regained, it is in the main fat. With each round more fat is stored and more muscle is reduced which is deleterious to the dieter's health. Due to the reduced muscle mass caused by this yo-yo dieting future weight loss becomes more difficult for the dieter as there is less muscle to eat up the stored fat. For reasons that are not clear it also needs to be known that, individuals with a history of weight yo-yoing are at an increased risk of contracting type 2 diabetes. Consequently, maintaining the weight loss is more crucial in the long run than the weight loss itself.

Consumed fibers have been advertised to assist in weight loss. Nonetheless, the real effects have been insignificant until Mirafit fbcx was found to be useful for weight loss and management. The active ingredient in Mirafit fbcx is alpha-cyclodextrin, a naturally occurring soluble fiber derived from corn. When consumed with fat-containing meals, it almost instantly forms a very stable complex with the dietary fat in the stomach. Unlike proposed prescription weight loss products, this fiber is not absorbed into the blood stream so cannot have any effect on brain chemistry or metabolic functions. Fat bound into a complex with Mirafit fbcx is not available for absorption into the blood stream. As the fat remains bound while passing through the large bowel there are no undesirable intestinal side effects. Released clinical trial and animal studies have demonstrated that this distinct fiber is not only effective for weight reduction, but also in decreasing both total and LDL (bad) cholesterol while increasing insulin sensitivity, thus decreasing the danger of developing both cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.

Mirafit fbcx is not only effective for weight loss, but also for weight maintenance. Once a person has reached their preferred weight, with or without Mirafit, the fiber can be used to maintain that weight thus preventing the next upward swing of the yo-yo. For the first time, consumers have a safe, effective and simple way to reach and hold their suitable body weight.
Taken as instructed, 2 tablets per meal, six tablets per day with fat-containing meals will curb caloric absorption by about 500 calories/day. This is equivalent to approximately 50-60% of the fat or 25-30% of the calories from a typical Western diet. As a result, even though the consumer has physically stopped dieting they are able to stabilize their appropriate weight by governing the absorption of the fat that they consume.
How It Works
When taken with a fat-containing meal, the Mirafit fbcx fiber mixes with and binds to 9 times its own weight of the consumed fat. The tied-up fat passes through the small bowel without being absorbed and then through the large bowel without being fermented by the normal bacteria of the bowel. The fat-fiber complex is eliminated, unnoticed, with the next bowel movement. Inasmuch as the fiber is not absorbed into the blood stream, it will never alter brain function or affect the metabolism of drugs or metabolites.
Study Results
Clinical studies conducted with either obese type 2 diabetics or overweight, but not obese non-diabetic volunteers have rendered similar favorable results. These investigations confirm the healthful effects of Mirafit fbcx on weight loss and weight management as well as the heightened blood lipid levels that have been implicated in the development of numerous chronic disease states, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. The data also shows that, in the absence of any changes to diet or exercise programs, significantly more weight was lost by the volunteers during the active phase as compared to the control phase of the investigation. The results also showed that blood total and LDL (bad) cholesterol, as well as the proatherogenic apolipoprotein B levels were significantly reduced in the active phase of the study while HDL (good) cholesterol levels remained unchanged. Blood insulin levels were lowered in the active phase while blood glucose levels remained unaltered, which may indicate a decreased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Unlike any other studied weight loss product, the study participants were not put on a low calorie diet.
