What is good?
The iPod Shuffle offers support for playlists, audiobooks, podcasts, Genius Mixes, and a multilingual VoiceOver feature that announces track information, battery status, and menu navigation.
What is bad?
The 2GB capacity is not enough; there's no headphone, remote nor radio; the track controls get compromised when clipping the iPod; and the size is too small to remember it.
The Bottom Line
The iPod Shuffle's buttons are back, and the lightest, smallest MP3 player on the planet is now better than ever.
• Design
The fourth-generation iPod Shuffle, resembles to the popular second-generation model. Placed side by side with the second-gen Shuffle, the latest version is noticeably smaller and more square, measuring 1.24 inches wide by 1.14 inches tall by 0.34 inch thick. Although the body has shrunken, the main navigation has actually increased a little in size, making it easier to make adjustments to volume or track position.
Another design feature is that most of the physical features--the headphone jack, the power switch, the battery indicator, the playback mode control, and the VoiceOver button--have been consolidated to the top edge. The bottom edge and sides of the Shuffle are now fully smooth and seamlessly built of anodized aluminum.

The Shuffle's design may be a glimpse to the past, but its features are forward thinking. Good features of third-generation model (VoiceOver, playlists, audiobooks, and podcasts) have been retained, along with support for Genius Mixes, expanded language support, and a longer 15-hour battery life.
The audio qualities are not very impressive though. Shuffle doesn't have FM radio, voice recording, and—without a screen-no photo or video playback. Audio formats supported include biggies like MP3, AAC, Audible, WAV, AIF, and Apple Lossless, but still no love for WMA or FLAC.
The earbuds provided are not that good too. So, even if you go for a very good earbud from another company, there is still a jerk in the music and it's not 100% clear.
Shuffles costs about $49 which is a reasonable price for such a cute model. However, if you are a total music enthusiast, there are other better models available in the market. Now, do you want to get the shuffle at a throw away price? If you do, check Bidwow now. It is available for as low as $ on Bidwow and yes, there is no compromise with features and designs mentioned here. It is the same Shuffle, but the only difference is the price and the process of acquiring it.
