A Fun Filled Dubai Summer Surprise

The Dubai Summer Surprise is an annual shopping extravaganza that lasts for over two months during the months from June to August. The Dubai Summer Surprise was envisioned as an addition to the Dubai Shopping festival which gained worldwide acclaim not only for the great duty free shopping bargains but also for the wonderful themed events that were staged concurrently. The Dubai Summer Surprise was meant to be an event that could be enjoyed by the whole family, it features a variety of entertainment activities, music and drama performances and of course the excellent Dubai shopping experience.

This year's shopping festival promises a host of new additions to its already comprehensive line-up and is expected to draw in millions of tourists from all over the world. The 2008 Dubai Summer Surprise is said to have embraced an international dimension and promises to add more international artistes and performers to its events calendar. A diverse range of events are planned such as a recycled art exhibition at the Reef Mall, a photographic exhibition at Deira City Centre and the ever popular Dubai Fashion Fiesta that will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Among the participating shopping centers at this shopping extravaganza will be the 38 modern shopping malls in Dubai, which promises that a wide array of items will be on offer. Traditional clothing items and souvenirs to designer perfumes, clothing and expensive jewelry items are just a cross section of the wide range of goods that are expected to be on display.

The Mohdesh Fun City has regularly been a favorite among tourists who attend the Dubai Summer Surprise; this time around the Fun City will be running at the Airport Expo from the 21st of June. Known as one of the largest indoor theme parks in the world, the Mohdesh Fun City will feature a variety of entertaining activities at its Legozone, Arts and Crafts Zone, Heritage Zone and the Sports Zone.

The range of differently themed areas promise a fun filled experience for individuals with different interests. Many Dubai luxury hotels including Raffles Dubai will also be organizing special events and packages targeted towards the large influx of tourists who are expected to arrive for this year's Dubai Summer Surprise.
