There are literally hundreds of nice little features contained within the iPad which so many people are blissfully unaware of – finding these tips out though can save you a great deal of time and also make you a more proficient iPad user so it’s definitely worth spending a little extra time researching what’s on offer. One of the first tips which you should adhere to is to try touching the iPad a little differently when interacting – the iPad isn’t just a one touch device, you can utilise different touching sensors to perform different actions. For example, when viewing photos ust press two fingers on the screen and you can flip the photos around to your preferred angle.

It’s also worth, when browsing the internet in the home, to use a wireless router which is 802.11a compatible – this is the best WiFi signal for streaming videos from YouTube and what not when at home. While this signal doesn’t have as good a range as the 802.11g, it also doesn’t conflict with other signals in the area like those emitted by microwave ovens, baby monitors and other wireless devices which can potentially interrupt your signal.

Another good option if you are into your music is to set the EQ level on your iPad – this will help improve the sound quality and make listening to music on the device a lot more enjoyable. The easiest way to do this on the iPad is to go to settings, iPod and then select”EQ”. You can change the EQ settings from here and you will notice a marked improvement in sound quality - all you need to do is select the type of music you listen to most frequently.

There are also a number of neat little tricks you can apply to the Safari browser. For example, you do not need to use Google as the default search engine, you can change this simply by going to settings, Safari and then select search engine – from here you can change this to anything you like including Yahoo! or Bing. You can also bookmark you favourite web pages on your home screen for easy access by using the little plus icon found at the top of you safari browser.
