There are a number of website hosting services which provide the web-based webpage creator. There are also secondary websites or third-party websites that provide the software and you simply insert in your username, password, and URL into the third party website WYSIWYG program and the website is then published or updated automatically when you make changes. The steps however for either of these options are essentially the same. You will have to log on whether you are using the website, a third party website or standalone software applications with upload capabilities.
There are other options when it comes to creating a website. These however require a working knowledge of HTML and CSS in order to be able to successfully use. While this knowledge is helpful if you are building a large number of pages or want something specially done it is not necessary for regular websites that are designed to be personal in nature. It is easier especially if you are just getting onto the web to use programs that are designed to make building a webpage simple and easy.
