1. Get a good guide to provide you with a efficient route. 2. Get a proper Leveling Build for your Class 3. Ensure you grind mobs in between Quests if they are within 2 levels of you on the way 4. Try to pick zones that have a lot of quests in a small area 5. Only do instance runs once to complete quests 6. Finish as many quests as you can in a zone before going back to turn them in 7. Plan your quest routes so that they form an efficient loop that leads you back to turn ins
With the above 7 leveling tips it's hard to go wrong. Here is a detailed explanation of each tip.
1. A guide is key to leveling fast. The people who write these have already gone ahead and found the most efficient routes, quests, and zones you need to be in at all levels in order to get you to max level as fast as possible.
2. Even if you have a leveling guide you may find yourself sucking hard or having problems killing mobs. It is recommended you choose only the pve-oriented talents, you will pvp more than enough at level 80.
3. Especially early on grinding mobs in between quests can save you a lot of time because you will be getting 70-200exp per mob in the earlier levels so it only makes sense to gain experience on the way to all of your quests because most quests are only worth 1000-9000 exp for a good one and you can easily get more exp grinding mobs to and from quests. That doesn't mean you will have to grind non-stop, I would recommend to just grind the mobs in between quests in the way you are heading.
4. If you find yourself constantly getting on flight paths or turning in quests all over the place it is best if you quickly realize that even though you can go AFK this isn't an efficient way to level. Try to pick zones where you can stay in them for many levels without leaving. Stranglethorn Vale is a good example because they have a lot of quests from 30-46.
5. Instance runs are fun and challenging but they are not a productive way to gain experience (unless you are power leveling) but can be somewhat effective if you compile a lot of quests for the zones. General rule of thumb here is. If there are 2 or more quest for a instance you gain more then you lose in general so go for it.
6. Don't waste time finishing a quest and then turning it in right away. Do as many as you can while you are out and then come back in for a grand turn-in you will feel better about leveling from the massive experience you gain.
7. Plan quest routes in your head so that you hit all of the quests on the way and don't have to go out of the way to any of the quests making them inefficient to do. I usually use a guide to provide me with a efficient route.
That's all for now, I hope the tips were helpful to you.
